It is far more important to ask yourself ‘who you will be when you are retired?’ first. That in itself will undoubtedly drive what you will do when you retire and allow you to remain flexible.
Hi Bec, love hearing retirement stories. I have one of my own. My husband retired in 2006 and even though he had health issues we decided to go for it and bought a motorhome and traveled Australia. I always took note that there was a hospital in the outback towns we visited just in case we needed them but we managed travels for twelve years, until he got more health issues and hospital stays. Even then we still planned the next trip but sadly we had to stop long travel and he passed away last Christmas. I tell everybody not to put off doing what you want to do as life sometimes gets in the way. Live your life to the fullest tomorrow isn’t promised.
